My Background

I started out playing music at home when I was a kid and then started taking private lessons in Chicago and continued studying in California; one of my teachers included Freddie Gruber and continued music theory in college.  After five years of drum corps ending up in the Blue Devils for 3 years, I started playing in top 40, original, and casual bands. I’ve been on tours, some as far as Africa.

I’ve taught for 25 years teaching privately and drum lines. I continue to teach and play music full time.
